American Kennel Club Accepts the Cane Corso into the AKC Studbook

From the October 2009 Board Meeting of the American Kennel Club – The Cane Corso Association of America is the official parent club for the Cane Corso and to accept the Cane Corso into the AKC Stud Book on June 1, 2010.

The breed will be eligible to compete in AKC sanctioned events in the Working Group beginning June 30, 2010.

As of July 1st 2006, the Cane Corso has been approved to compete for titles in AKC Companion Events (Obedience, Agility, Tracking and Rally). The Cane Corso is also listed with the AKC's F.S.S. (Foundation Stock Service) to record rare breeds, in the working group, until it is accepted as a recognized breed.
